The low cost airline Ryanair operates flights from London Stansted to Zaragoza during the high season. The flying time is around 2 hours and 5 minutes, but remember that Spain is one hour ahead of the UK and Ireland so all times quoted on the left are local.

Other European destinations which can be reached from Zaragoza include Brussels, Bucharest, Milan, Paris, and Lanzarote, Palma de Mallorca and Tenerife South in Spain.

Zaragoza is located in the valley of the River Ebro in north eastern Spain. To the north and south lie the sister provinces of Huesca and Teruel which make up the region of Aragón. It has a diverse landscape of desert, forest and mountains which can result in some extreme temperatures which can reach as low as -0C in the mountains during the winter, with the summer soaring as high as 35°C+.

The city has cathedrals and palaces dating back to the Romans and the Moors and is a great place to visit if you want to sample what Spain is really like as it is still relatively undiscovered by European tourists, with the majority of visitors here being Spanish nationals. This also means that you get to try authentic local cuisine at realistic prices, rather than pay the "tourist rates" charged for wine and food in the south.
