If you are travelling into northern Spain and want to get to Oviedo (47km), Gijon (40km) or Aviles (15km) then Asturias Airport is the nearest travel hub.
You can fly to and from Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Madrid, Majorca, Tenerife and Valencia in Spain as well as Lisbon, Paris and London. Your choice of airlines operating from Asturias includes Iberia, Ryanair, Vueling, easyJet, Orbest, Air Berlin, Air Europa and Air Nostrum.
If you are picking up someone from the airport then there is the Caffriccio cafeteria in the public area where you can arrange to meet.
When you arrive at the airport if you are planning to use public transport then there is a bus service outside the arrivals hall which goes to nearby cities.
Taxis from the rank outside into Oviedo, Gijon and Aviles will cost you around €53, €45 and €23 respectively.
The best way to explore this part of Spain is by car so if you want to rent a vehicle when you land you have a choice of three agencies with desks in the arrivals hall and cars ready and waiting in the car park outside. To save time on arrival it is best to book your car online. The two access roads are the A8 motorway and N632 national highway.
If you have some time to spare when leaving Asturias you can do some last minute shopping for gifts and local products in Arga Astur or there is a Divers newspaper shop which also sells magazines, food and gifts.
In 2015 1.119.273 passengers passed through Asturias Airport with 10.758 flight operations.
