You can fly to or from a total of 58 destinations from Valencia Airport including airports in Amsterdam, Germany, Brussels, Bucharest, Casablanca, Turkey, Russia, Portugal, Italy, Paris, Rome, Vienna and Switzerland.

You can get to other parts of mainland Spain and the Islands including Asturias, Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Madrid, Malaga Costa del Sol, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca, Santander, Santiago, Seville and Tenerife South.

All of these destinations offer a good selection of airlines and flight times. The number of flights increase after Easter and reach their peak during the months of July and August, but these also tend to be the most expensive months to fly. So if you don't have children it is wise to try and avoid school holidays which is when the airlines have a captive audience and charge top fares.

The number of flights to and from the UK have decreased over the past two years with airlines struggling to keep their prices low with the rise in fuel prices and airport taxes by ensuring that their aircraft fly with a full complement of passengers.

Valencia is the tenth busiest airport in Spain and was used last year by nearly five million passengers with almost 60,000 flight operations.
