Seville is one of our favourite Cities in Andalucia and with the airport being just 10 kilometres from the City Centre and buses going there directly, it makes Seville an attractive Weekend Break.
Seville Airport is also known as San Pablo Airport. It´s not a huge airport but bigger than say Jerez Airport. It has 42 check-in desks and as an airport generally has everything that you require, Parking, Carhire Desks, Restaurants, Shops, Duty Free, Tourist Information Desks and much more.
Seville is the Capital of Andalucia which is home to the Costa Del Sol, Costa De La Luz, Costa Tropical and Costa Almeria, most of its flights are to domestic locations with only around 20% of its passenger traffic from outside Spain. In 2014 a total of 4.308.852 passengers passed through Seville Airport with 46.085 flight operations.
Although there is no train at Seville Airport there are Buses that can take you into the City Centre where you can then take the train onto other destinations like Malaga, Madrid, Almeria, Cadiz, Granada and many other places. Portugal is only a couple of hours drive away
Should you decide to hire a car at Seville Aiport there are numerous car hire desks in the main arrival hall. The drivers to tend to drive faster there than say on the Costa Del Sol and on numerous occasions the “red traffic light” doesn’t seem to mean much. So, take care driving but once on the main roads, its generally quite easy and comfortable. Seville is a fabulous city and a great base for travelling to other parts of Spain.
