The departures hall is on the ground floor of the terminal building at Santander Airport. It has the capacity to handle 575 passengers per hour, the check-in area 461 passengers and the pre boarding area 175 passengers per hour.
In the departures area, as well as the 8 check-in desks, you will find the shopping area and places to get something to eat and drink.
There are seven boarding gates: five on the ground floor and two (equipped with fingers) on the first floor.
If you want to do some last minute shopping there is one shop at the airport in the departures check in lobby next to the security area.
Multitienda is a multi-shop which sells books, newspapers and magazines for you to read on the plane as well as a selection of gifts and typical Cantabrian foodstuffs which come packaged and ready to take on the plane. The shop's opening hours at from 0'6:30-21:00 (but may be subject to change according to flight schedules).
You can get a snack and drink with someone who is seeing you off in La Barilla in the public check in area. It is a tavern which serves traditional tapas and sandwiches with a selection of beers.
Pic Nic is in the passenger only zone and is ideal if you are waiting for your flight to be called. It is self-service offering fast food and snacks.
