If you do not want to hire a car at Lanzarote Airport then another option is to book a private transfer.
This is when a driver meets you in the main arrivals area at a pre-arranged time and takes to a waiting car which will transfer you to your holiday villa or hotel with the minimum of fuss or delay.
We always use Shuttle Direct for our own personal private transfers and have no hesitation in recommending them to you.
When you book the transfer you supply the company with your flight details so that they can track your expected arrival time and make sure they modify their timings if you arrive early or experience any delay.
You can book a return transfer for the end of your holiday so you don't need to worry about arranging for someone to take you to the airport as it gets near the end of your break.
If you are travelling in a party or have several children, think about booking a private transfer as they can provide a vehicle which you can all travel together in and which is fitted with a baby seat and child restraints if you need them. The taxis in Spain are only permitted by law to carry a maximum of four passengers and are not obliged to provide any safety features for children By prebooking your own transfer from you can be sure that your group will travel together and in complete safety.
Also if you are planning to do some golf and carrying a lot of kit, again a private transfer can provide a vehicle which can fit everything in.
The only other way of transferring from Lanzarote (apart from the taxis) is by catching the airport bus. This is fine if you are heading into the City Centre but not that great if you are going anywhere slightly off the beaten track.
