There are two departures halls at Lanzarote Airport: the larger and newer terminal 1 for internal and european flights and terminal 2 for island hopping traffic.
In Terminal 1 the departures area is upstairs on floor 1. You will see the check in desk for your airline lined up along the back wall and you can check your flight status on the large information board above the desks or on one of the flight monitors which are dotted about the area. In this zone you can also find Aena's information service, a pharmacy and lottery shop.
After you have checked in your bags, got your boarding pass and cleared passport control you can access the boarding area, which has several open terraces which you can sit out on and eat your food and and glass enclosed observation deck where you can watch the planes landing and taking off.
There is a selection of shops selling items ranging from duty free to fashion goods to a delicatessen, with plenty of places to get something to eat and drink including fast food outlets like Burger King or Pizza Hut. There are also several bars serving English beer. If you want to get away from the passenger zone and do some work or relax you can pay to use the facilities of the Guacimeta VIP lounge on the second floor.
In terminal 1 you board the aircraft from one of the twelve boarding gates which link directly into the plane.
Terminal 2 has six check-in desks and four boarding gates.
The Lanzarote Airport Departures telephone number is (0034) 928 846 000.
