After you disembark from the plane you enter the terminal building and Granada Airport Arrivals through gates located on the ground floor The luggage reclaim area includes passport control with three baggage reclaim carousels, offices for the police, customs and civil guard and the local tourist board.
This area leads into the arrivals hall where you will find the car hire offices for Avis, Europcar and Goldcar, ATMS, toilets and a seated waiting area. If you have prebooked a private transfer this is where the driver will be waiting to meet you.
If you are planning on hiring a car, you can often secure the best deal by booking it in advance. This is also the best way to make sure you get the make and model you require and also have it waiting for you at the airport complete with any extras like child restraints, baby seats, ski racks, etc. Prebooking also saves time on completing paperwork when you go to collect the car.
There is no railway at the airport, but you can catch a bus into the city centre from the stop outside the arrivals hall where you will also see the taxi rank. The bus journey takes about 40 minutes and costs €3,00. A taxi will take up to four people and cost around €25,00.
For those with disabilities, there is an access ramp from the baggage hall and ramps outside the terminal building and by parking.
