The airport taxi ranks have vehicles lined up and waiting on the ground floor outside the three main arrival zones A , B anc C. When you are leaving the island the driver will drop you off on the first floor outside the departures hall.

If there are four or more in your party with a lot of luggage or young children think about pre-booking a private Gran Canaria airport transfers as the normal airport taxis can by law only carry up to four passengers and very rarely have baby seats or child restraints as they are not required to supply them by law.

By pre-booking a private transfer or hiring a car you can request that any safety appliances you require are fitted to the vehicle that the company supplies. Also car hire or private transfers can suply larger vehicles to carry all your party in one vehicle.

Taxi Fares

Gran Canaria Airport is about 18km from the main town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and a taxi into the City centre will set you back about €28 euros. The taxi charges are split into two fare bands:

Fare 1: (from 06:00 to 22:00 weekdays) and Fare 2 (from 22:00 to 06:00 and holidays all day)
