Ryanair used to be main provider of flights from the UK to Girona Airport but since they have started flying to Barcelona Airport they still cover a number of destinations but the number of flights operating has reduced. Having said this, they are still the main flight provider from this airport with the only othe one being Wizzair which flys to Kiev.
The UK and Ireland airports that they now fly from include Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cork, Doncaster, Dublin, London Luton and Stansted, Knock Manchester and Newcastle.
They also operate flighs to other parts of Europe including a number of airports in Germany and Brussels, Malta, Italy, France and Norway. Spanish airports include Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca.
If you enjoy travelling around Europe then you could always fly into Girona then on to a number of European destinations. Ryanair offer flights from Girona to a number of European destinations including Bratislava, Brussels, Eindhoven, Faro, Fez, Florence, Frankfurt, Fuerteventura, Maastricht, Milan, Oslo, Palma, Paris, Rome and Alghero on the Island of Sardinia.
Girona is a great place to fly into on the Costa Brava, as it offers bus and rail links to a number of Spanish towns and resorts including the nearby City of Barcelona or ou can get to head South West France. The French border is only 70km to the north and you can drive there within an hour from Girona.
