Bus to Barcelona

There is a direct bus service from Girona Airport into Barcelona. The journey takes around 1 hour 10 minutes depending on traffic and you can obtain the full timetable by following our link for buses from Girona Airport to Barcelona. Or you can call the bus company on (0034) 902 361 550.

The cost of a single journey is €16,00 and return is €25,00.

The buses run at regular intervals and you are dropped in Barcelona's Estación del Norte, which is next to the Arco de Triunfo.

You can obtain bus timetables at the information desk in the Girona Airport terminal between the departures and arrivals halls.

The bus stops are right outside arrivals with the walk from the departure lounge only taking about five minutes.

There is a ticket office inside the arrivals terminal where you can buy tickets which is open every day from 08:00 until 02:00. You cannot buy the ticket on the bus.

During the summer months (July and August) there is a line connecting the airport with major beach destinations including (Palafrugell, Palamos, Calonge Platja d'Aro, Agaró, Sant Feliu de Guixols , Santa Cristina d'Aro, Llagostera, Cassa de la Selva). Timetable information can be obtained from Sarfa and Barcelona Bus web sites.

Girona City Centre

The Number 2 Airport bus runs into the city centre with a journey time of around 25 minutes, from here you could get the train into Barcelona or catch connecting buses to nearby resorts.

The buses start running at around 04:30 in the morning until 04.30 in the morning at hourly intervals until 12:30 am. Journey time is about 25 minutes and the single fare is €3,00 and the return €5,10

You may need to travel into the main Girona Bus terminal where there are connections to many of the resorts, however there are a number of "local routes" available direct from the airport.

Costa Brava South

Girona Airport Service to Costa Brava South from the Airport to coastal towns as far as Tossa de Mar with a journey time of 1 hour 10 minutes and single fare is €10,00 Information telephone: (+34) 902 130 014.

Costa Brava North

Girona Airport Service to Costa Brava North as far as Roses with journey time of 1 hour and 10 minutes. There are currently three buses a day and the single fare is €15,00.

Fornells de la Selva - Girona
