If you do not want to hire a car at Fuerteventura Airport which you can pick up when you arrive at the airport to get you to your final destination, then another option is to book a private transfer.

This is when a driver meets you in the main arrivals area at a pre-arranged time and takes to a waiting car which will transfer you to your holiday villa or hotel with the minimum of fuss or delay.

Private transfer companies provide exclusive transport for single travellers or large groups of people.

When you book the transfer online you supply the company with your flight details so that they can track your expected arrival time and make sure they modify their timings if you arrive early or experience any delay.

You can also pre-book the driver for your return journey to the airport.

Booking a Private Transfer

It is important to consider your journey from Fuerteventura Airport to your holiday destination, especially if you have children or are in a group of more than four people as this is the maximum number of passengers normal taxi drivers can carry ( including children).

Also they are not obliged by law to carry baby seats or child restraints. By arranging a private transfer from Fuerteventura Airport your group will be able to travel together in safety.

The only other way of transferring from Fuerteventura (apart from the taxis) is by catching the airport bus. This is fine if you are heading into the City Centre but not that great if you are going anywhere slightly off the beaten track.
