Shopping at Terminal 1

The retail area in Terminal 1 at Barcelona Airport is a very impressive 23,866 square metre space with shops including many famous Spanish fashion brands including Adolfo Domínguez, Caroline Herrera, Massimo Dutti, Zara and the very popular Desigual younger fashion brand.

There are two Relay and one News & Books shops where you can buy books and magazines for your journey. You also have a choice of two duty free outlets in departures : the Express Shop and the Shop which is the larger of the two with a wide range of goods.

If you are looking to buy some souvenirs then there are some great confectionery shops (especially La Farga and the Chocolat Factory) selling the delicious Catalonia chocolate in all shapes and forms and marcona almonds the area is so famous for.

The official FC Botiga Barcelona Football Club can be found in both arrivals and departures where you can buy some great club memorabalia. Because football is so important to the Spanish you will see these shops in a number of areas in Barcelona.

If you have some time spare and want to pamper yourself the Aqua Spa on the second floor in departures offers a wide range of beauty treatments, manucures and pedicures and a hairdressing salon. You tell them how long before your flight and they will tailor the treatment accordingly.

If you have forgotten to pack your deodorant or toothpaste, need a can of drink or a sandwich, then The Airport Market in the public arrivals area stocks a range of useful items.

I have split the shops in T1 into arrivals and departures to make it easier for you to check what's available in your area and where you can kill some time (and spend some money) while waiting for your flight.

We also provide information on Spanish Duty Free Allowances so that you can check you do not go over your limits and get charged customs duty.
