Tren-Tram

The Alicante TRAM is a new and modern way of quickly getting around Alicante and its surrounds.It is run by the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) who also offer a night TRAM service.

Alicante Metropolitan TRAM service is a combination of different rail services with a light metro running through the  city centre, a tram/train into Benidorm plus a normal  train connecting Benidorm to Altea and Denia.

You can catch the C6 bus from the airport into Alicante and connect to the different tram routes of TRAM Metropolitano to most of the popular destinations on the Costa Blanca.

The services run every day of the year with the same timetable every day.

More Lines 5 and 8) are planned but not yet opened. Eventually a TRAM line will run from the airport into Alicante.

Line 1 Luceros to Benidorm

Tram-Train which runs from Alicante to Benidorm at 30 minute intervals with a journey time of  about one hour 10 minutes. In Benidorm you can connect to the Line 9 which takes you to Altea, Calpe, Teulada and Denia.

Operates from: 05.45-23:00.

Line 2 to Hospital & University

Tram service which will open shortly from the city centre to the Hospital, University and Sant Vicent del Raspeig

Line 3 Luceros to El Campello

The Costa Tram runs from Alicante to El Campello along the Costa Blanca coast with a journey time of 25 minutes. Runs 2 or 3 times every hour.

Operates from: 05.45-23:00.

Line 4 Luceros toPlaza de La Coruña

Running at 30 minute intervals from Alicante to Playa de San Juan  taking about 25 minutes. Operates from 06:00 to 22:30.

Line 4L from Port

Tram from Alicante port to Sangueta where it connects with Lines L1, L3, and L4.

Line 9 Benidorm along the Coast

Diesel train which will run along the along the coast. Services are currently subject to disruption due to engineering

Tren-Tram Fares:

Single ticket: €1.25 (1 zone), €2.35 (2 zones), €3.50 (3 zones), €4.60 (4 zones), €5.70 (5 zones) or €6.75 (6 zones).
Return ticket:€ 2.15 (1 zone), €4.00 (2 zones), €5.95 (3 zones), €7.85 (4 zones), €9.70 (5 zones) or €11.50 (6 zones).

Tickets can be purchased at counters or from ticket machines at any station.
